ESPNU’s Campus Connection will visit five SEC campuses this fall to cover three women’s volleyball matches and two women’s soccer games. The first broadcast will feature Georgia traveling to Auburn for a women’s volleyball match on Oct. 1.
Campus Connection gives communication students at SEC universities a chance to work on a live ESPNU broadcast. Students not only get hands-on experience, but also get to network with professionals in their field of study.
“ESPNU’s Campus Connection provides students with real-life opportunities at the highest level of broadcast television,” said Charlie Hussey, Associate Commissioner for SEC Network Relations. “We are thankful for ESPN’s commitment to this endeavor for the past six years.”
Student roles vary in the broad scope of producing a live sporting event, including sideline reporter, camera operator and production assistant. To date, more than 150 have participated in an ESPNU Campus Connection broadcast.
Below is the ESPNU Campus Connection fall schedule and viewers watching these contests may see students on camera.
Oct. 1 Women’s Volleyball Georgia at Auburn 9:00 p.m. ET
