BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2022 Fall Southeastern Conference College Tour is set to host school counselors in Idaho and Utah from September 13-15. It will be the SEC’s first visit to the region.

Organized by the University of Alabama, attendees will engage in person with admissions and enrollment representatives from each university and learn about the SEC educational experience.

The upcoming event features three cities:

  • September 13: Boise, Idaho
  • September 14: Provo, Utah
  • September 15: Salt Lake City, Utah

Registration is scheduled to open August 24 on SECCollegeTour.org, and there is no charge to attend, but space is limited.

“We are excited to plan this fall’s event and to join our Southeastern Conference colleagues in a new area for the SEC College Tour,” said Jim Landers, director of undergraduate admissions at Alabama. “These outreach efforts with counselors have been great to showcase what each of our universities offer and how our schools can enhance a student’s life.”

The SEC Fall College Tour provides an opportunity for counselors outside of the SEC’s geographic region to learn about each of the 14 member institutions from campus experts. SEC representatives share admissions deadlines and requirements, alongside general university highlights.

The three-day schedule includes time for university Q&A, informal counselor discussions and individual presentations from each school.

The goal of the SEC College Tour, which also includes a spring in-person event and a virtual opportunity, is to broadly advance the merit and academic reputation of SEC universities through outreach events. It’s one of several programs designed by the Conference to showcase the range of accomplishments of SEC students, faculty and administrators.
