BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference College Tour will travel to the Northeast this September. Admissions and enrollment professionals from each SEC university will meet with local high school counselors to encourage area students to consider attending an SEC university.

This year’s tour is being organized by Auburn University and will provide representatives from each SEC university an opportunity to showcase the unique educational experiences on their campuses.

Registration for the three-city tour is currently open at

  • September 12: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • September 13: East Brunswick, New Jersey
  • September 14: Morristown, New Jersey

All three cities include tailored events for high school counselors. Attendees will meet-and-greet with university professionals before a short presentation from each university. Topics covered will include admissions and scholarship details, degree offerings, student life and more.  A question-and-answer session will close out the event.

“Each of our 14 member universities possesses its own distinct qualities, contributing to the SEC’s reputation as one of the finest college experiences,” said Dr. Joffery Gaymon, vice president of enrollment services at Auburn. “We’re enthusiastic about showcasing how our universities can equip students for a meaningful and influential future.”

The goal of the SEC College Tour, which also includes a spring in-person event and virtual opportunity, is to broadly advance the merit and academic reputation of SEC universities through outreach events beyond the Conference’s geographic footprint. It is one of several programs designed by the Conference to highlight the range of accomplishments by SEC students, faculty and administrators.
