BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference College Tour is traveling to the Southwest this April, as admissions and enrollment professionals from each SEC university will meet with local students and counselors.

The spring edition of the SEC College Tour will visit three cities with registration now open at SECCollegeTour.org:

  • April 18: Mesa, Arizona
  • April 19: Phoenix, Arizona
  • April 20-21: Las Vegas, Nevada

This year’s tour will be organized by the University of South Carolina and will provide  representatives from each SEC university an opportunity to showcase the unique educational experiences on each of their campuses.

All three cities include tailored events for the audiences. An evening college fair for high school students and their guests will feature a short presentation and question-and-answer sessions with each SEC university. High school counselors can join the tour for a morning program that hosts additional information and admissions details.

“Each university that is part of the Southeastern Conference has its own uniqueness, but they all have one thing in common — an unwavering commitment to excellence, both on and off the field or court,” said Jessica Freed, director for recruitment at South Carolina. “It’s this excellence in academics, student experience and career preparedness that sets SEC schools apart and what fuels the strength of the conference.

“Meeting with admission officers from Conference institutions during the SEC College Tour allows us to share how our students are succeeding in and out of the classroom and how we prepare them for impactful futures.”

In its 14th year, the goal of the SEC College Tour, which also includes a fall in-person event and virtual opportunity, is to broadly advance the merit and academic reputation of SEC universities through outreach events beyond the Conference’s geographic footprint. It is one of several programs designed by the Conference to highlight the range of accomplishments by SEC students, faculty and administrators.
