SEC Emerging Scholars Travel to Arkansas for Career Prep Workshop

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Arkansas will welcome the newest class of Southeastern Conference Emerging Scholars for the program’s Career Preparation Workshop from October 1-4.

The workshop is part of the SEC Provosts initiative to aid in preparing future faculty members from within the SEC. It provides professional development and networking opportunities for current doctoral students and a limited number of postdoctoral researchers who are considering careers in higher education. The program also includes fellowships for scholars from their home universities.

This marks the third year for the SEC Emerging Scholars program, as 70 participants from all 14 universities will travel to Fayetteville for the event.

The 2023-24 SEC Emerging Scholars are as follows:
