Six from SEC Named Football Academic All-America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Six Southeastern Conference football student-athletes have been named to the 2022 Academic All-America® football teams selected by the College Sports Communicators, it was announced Tuesday.

In addition, Kentucky’s Will Levis was named the Division I Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year. Levis was joined on the Academic All-America® First Team by Mississippi State’s Austin Williams, Georgia’s Brock Bowers and Auburn’s Anders Carlson. Tennessee’s Paxton Brooks and LSU’s Jay Bramblett were named to the Second Team.

Brooks, Carlson and Williams are repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division I football teams.

Levis graduated from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business in just three years with a degree in finance, and he recently earned a master’s degree in finance from UK’s prestigious Gatton School of Business and Economics, where he held a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
