As university graduates celebrate a closing of a chapter, many high school students are looking to write their next one.

The Southeastern Conference College Tour recently served as a guide for high school students and counselors in Chicago and Milwaukee, as it provided an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the admissions teams from these institutions.

The tour offers a series of interactive sessions with personalized events for the two audiences. Each showcase the unique offerings of SEC schools, giving a comprehensive overview of the academic and extracurricular options available within the Conference. Each one-on-one interaction or in-depth conversation focused on the vibrant campus life, strong athletic traditions, and extensive support networks that characterize SEC schools, showing a glimpse into the student experience.

Throughout both cities, the SEC College Tour fostered a sense of excitement and aspiration. Students are left with a clearer vision of their potential future paths, armed with knowledge about scholarships, application processes, and campus cultures. High school counselors appreciated the direct access to admissions professionals, allowing them to gather detailed information to better guide their students.

“The day was extremely informative, energetic, and welcoming,” one counselor said. “As a new college counselor at my school, it was great to meet your reps personally and begin to build relationships, as several of my students are interested in schools in the Southeastern Conference.”

The tour underscored the SEC’s commitment to academic excellence and student success. It is one of several programs designed by the Conference to highlight the range of accomplishments by SEC students, faculty and administrators.
